Assisted in teaching Web Programming (CSE 154) in Spring '21 to a class of 180 students. This included teaching and facilitating discussions on page styling/design/layout using HTML and CSS; client and server side scripting using JavaScript; and interacting with databases using sqlite.
Assisted in teaching Software Design and Implementation (CSE 331) in Winter '21 to a class of more than 200 students. This included introducing techniques for designing reliable & maintainable software through core Java concepts, JUnit testing, and event-driven programming.
Worked on a Distributed Energy Resource Management System for setting up a smart electric grid system. This required architectural techniques such as Microservices & Repository Patterns; C# and .NET to create a value-efficient algorithm; and Microsoft Azure Cloud Services for data management and computations.
Collaborating with developers and designers to manifest a way for people to match with random FoodFriends and create companionship over virtual meals in this time of isolation and social distancing. This web app uses React.js for the front-end, Google's Firebase for the backend services, and GIt for collaboration.
Proactively collaborating with engineers and testing new features to ensure that the existing capabilities of the app are fully functional. Also designing prototypes and enabling new features to improve the user experience. Furthermore, working on extensive testing mechanisms for identifying and reporting bugs in the app.
This app has now been re-branded to MatchPoint.
DubsTech (one of UW’s most active tech communities) aims to educate students on the latest technological tools and languages, along with conducting Protothons (UX hackathons) and Datathons (Data Hackathons).
